What Would You Do Wednesday?

Okay my new weekly feature is What Would You Do Wednesday?

Every week I'm going to ask you a question that I can't seem to figure out myself. And since I know you all are extremely intelligent I'm hoping you have some suggestions and solutions to my every day questions. Sometimes in might be about the kids or cleaning or anything I'm really wanting help on.

I've got lots of questions but if you have one too, let me know and I'll feature it for the week to see if anyone else has suggestions.

So my question of the week is:

How the heck do I get this clean?????

Seriously I've tried everything I can think of and still it looks like that. So what do you do when you have something extremely greasy and you just can't get the grease off. Do you have some miracle cleaner or tool?

Please let me know I'm seriously at a loss and will try any suggestions!! I'm giving a preemptive thank you for your advice!

  1. Have you tried the brillo pad and elbow grease? If I have something really bad I let it soak in dawn (must be dawn though the cheap stuff just is missing something) and a little bit of bleach. I then scrub with the brillo pad drain the dirty water and start over - I have had to do this with the toaster oven tray and the stove thingys.

  2. Yep, I was going to say, soak it over night. If it's not too bad, I usually make the wash cloth really hot and lay it on top of it. Sometimes I then run the hot water over the washcloth. I don't know why this works. And after some scrubbing... whatever doesn't come off I chalk it up to "seasoning on the pan for next time!" :-)

  3. John said to try Grease Lighting - he said he has used this for work projects and it works good.
