Make It Monday AND a Giveaway!!

My Make It Monday this week is going to be a little different because it includes a giveaway from another fabulous Etsy store Heather Ozee Designs.

In just two short weeks I will be filling my home with ten beautiful mommas (including myself) and thirteen children (all 2 and under!) to have an Earth's Best playdate. SO instead of pulling my hair out to make sure all the details were just perfect I'm turning to Heather Ozee Designs to make my Thanksgiving themed playdate perfect without killing myself (or my children).

The great thing about Heather Ozee Designs products is they are versatile do-it-yourself items that allow you to make each detail of your party fit your theme.

For my party, I got to try out out the Thanksgiving Party Kit - Printable PDF which includes Party Punchers, Banner, Mini Note Cards, Treat Bag Toppers, Pin the Beak on the Turkey and Food Labels / Place Cards.

Here is how simple it was to create the treat bags and pin the beak on the turkey (stay tune for next week Make It Monday when I make both the banner and food labels for the snacks).

First I downloaded the pdf.

Next I printed on cardstock to make the two different items sturdy.

I did learn a lesson while doing this - I generally have my printer set to fast economical setting as to not waste ink! DO NOT DO THIS!

The quality of the printing really suffers if you do! Using general everyday printing made all the difference

Then I cut out the treat bag toppers and the pin the beak on the turkey.

For the treat bags I am using paper bags as I have quite a few treats for my guests thanks to Earth's Best but you could also use ziplock bags if you wanted to have candy bags or any little treat in them.

I also decided to use the paper punchers to decorate the bag a little

I love the way they turned out AND so quickly and easily!

For pin the beak on the turkey I am done after cutting it out until the day of the event. Then I will hang it up, blindfold the kiddos and hand them a beak with some sticky tape on it. I am sure this is going to be a big hit!

How awesome and easy was that?? And it adds some awesome details to our little get together!

I also love that Heather included an extra gift with our Thanksgiving party pack. It is a witch paper doll! MGirl is LOVING playing with her although she keeps asking me for the mother witch! Ha ha ha!
